Okay, internet. I'm going to talk about a game. This game is called Angry Birds, and it is currently stealing the souls of 2/3 of this family, and we can't stop it.
For those of you who don't know, this game involves strategically shooting the titular Angry Birds, kamikaze-style, to break through various defenses and destroy the Pigs.
And therein lies this game's secret weapon. When you lose a level, the remaining Pigs look right at the camera and smile. And it's not just a smile, but the most smug, self-satisfied grin imaginable. There's something about those smug little fuckers that just bypasses my reasoned mind, triggers the visceral MUST KILL reaction, and gets me to hit the "replay" button over and over.
It might well be evil.
In bookish news, I have both the newest of Terry Pratchett's Wee Free Men books, and the four available TPBs of Atomic Robo, which is GREAT. If the hilarious writing and great art isn't enough to convince you, just read Promise #2. Joe was on the fence about ordering the books, but after reading that, I was like "we must give these people money, they deserve it just for this."
I also have some Liv doll stuff on the way from Target, so this is a happy week.
